A leading private credit platform is seeking a highly experienced Head of Legal to oversee legal strategy and execution across its global investment activities. Operating at the intersection of structured finance, direct lending, and opportunistic credit, the firm manages complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes. This is a senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape legal infrastructure and support the firm’s continued growth and innovation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all legal aspects of the firm’s investment lifecycle, including deal structuring, documentation, regulatory compliance, and fund governance. You will work closely with the investment team on bespoke credit transactions, distressed and special situations, and secondary market opportunities. The role also includes oversight of external counsel, negotiation of financing arrangements, and support on strategic initiatives such as fund formation and cross-border expansion.

We are seeking a UK or US-qualified lawyer with extensive post-qualification experience, ideally gained at a top-tier law firm with a focus on M&A, leveraged finance, or private credit, followed by in-house experience within a leading asset manager, credit fund, or investment platform. A deep understanding of complex capital structures, intercreditor arrangements, and regulatory frameworks is essential. The ideal candidate will combine technical excellence with commercial pragmatism and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
