A globally active venture capital firm is seeking a highly experienced Legal Director to lead legal strategy and execution across its investment platform. The firm backs category-defining technology businesses at early and growth stages, operating across multiple jurisdictions with a focus on innovation, scalability, and long-term value creation.

This is a senior leadership role, responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of the firm’s investment activity, fund operations, and governance. You will work closely with the investment team on structuring and executing venture deals, managing portfolio company legal matters, and supporting fund formation and LP relations. The role also includes oversight of regulatory compliance, cross-border legal risk, and external counsel relationships.

We are seeking a US or UK-qualified lawyer with extensive post-qualification experience, ideally gained at a top-tier law firm with a focus on M&A, venture capital, or growth equity, followed by in-house experience within a VC firm, growth fund, or tech-focused investment platform. A deep understanding of venture deal mechanics, cap tables, shareholder arrangements, and fund governance is essential. The ideal candidate will combine technical precision with commercial pragmatism and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
